Happy Thursday Everyone!

A Letter from the Publisher

May 21, 2015

Happy Thursday everyone!  I hope everyone’s having a wonderful week!  I’ve been busy updating the calendar with some great summer programming.  Registration for a lot of these events will soon be open, so it’s a great time to sit down with the kids and see what you’d all like to attend.  Our area libraries are providing an awesome array of fun events for kids.  Keep in mind as you browse that not all local libraries have residency restrictions for their summer programming.  In our calendar, we’ve shared events from the Hershey, Etown, and Middletown Public Libraries as well as the Alexander Family Library in Hummelstown.  Kids can stay busy this summer with super heroes, fire trucks, bugs, movies, American Girls, dogs and duct tape!  There’s a little bit of everything happening.  Definitely take a look!

The big event going on in town this weekend is Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey presents Circus XTREME.  Tickets are still available!  If you go, be sure to submit your pictures to our Facebook page.  We want to see your kiddos having fun!

A special thanks to all those families who stopped by our booth last weekend at Art on Chocolate!  It was great seeing all the creativity.  We featured two giveaways at the event, a Texas Roadhouse Gift Basket and a Kid’s Arts & Crafts Basket, which are still active.  Follow the links in the articles to sign up!  If you already signed up, keep an eye on Facebook for more ways to win!  The drawings will be held Saturday evening.

Also, take note of our new column, Dining with Kids.  This is a new feature that we’ll publish periodically.  Texas Roadhouse is our featured restaurant this week.  Sign up for our giveaway, and show some love to Texas Roadhouse in Palmyra by liking their Facebook page!  If you know of a local restaurant (or own/manage one) that’s kid-friendly, let us know!  We’re always looking for new businesses to share.  All restaurants we mention in Dining with Kids will be added to the new Dining with Kids Guide in our Business Directory.

A big welcome to Kindermusik with Kristen Miller, the newest addition to our Business Directory.  She’s bringing classes to Hershey this summer through the Derry Township Rec Center.  For information on Kindermusik with Kristen Miller, click here!

That about wraps it up for this week.  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend!
