Dora. Boots. SpongeBob. Patrick. If your kids are big Nickelodeon fans like mine, plan to add the Nickelodeon™ Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya to your vacation destination list. While they have the characters, energy, fun – and slime! – to satisfy younger kids, there's still lots for older kids and adults to enjoy too.
Having just returned from a 3-night stay, here are a few of my highlights:

Aqua Nick Waterpark
Nonstop fun awaits at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya. The 6-acre Aqua Nick Waterpark features a HUGE water play area for older kids with a separate area for the little ones with “mini” sized slides and water features, plus another ENORMOUS area with endless slides of all sizes, shapes and colors.
Depending on your mood, you can choose between the 2 different lazy rivers – a slow one and a wavy one! You may also get coerced into participating in a water exercise class, and make sure to sign up to GET SLIMED!

Gourmet Dining
All I can say is WOW! I've been to several all-inclusive resorts, but all of the Nickelodeon™ Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya restaurants are top notch. The first night's dinner at Piazza included out-of-this-world coal fired pizza, caprese salad, and fresh fish.
In the morning we woke to a musical, interactive breakfast performance by all of our favorite Nickelodeon characters, in addition to a fabulous four-course breakfast at Nick Bistro, which included endless fruits, delectable homemade pastries, oatmeal, yogurt parfaits, waffles, eggs, bacon, and so much more!
A true foodie highlight: The never-ending gourmet breakfast/brunch options at Le Spatula, named in honor of SpongeBob's iconic spatula. Take a look:
Lunch at Bikini Bottom included scrumptious Shrimp cocktails in Bikini Bottom ribs. At Yacht Club, make sure to save room for a custom crepe (sweet or savory – you choose the toppings!) after your cooked-to-order dinner featuring a boundless variety of seafood, meat, and vegetables options. And don't miss the made-to-order burgers (and even falafel burgers) at Good Burger, where you'll be tempted to start the meal with a make-your-own sundae from the bright blue ice cream truck conveniently placed in the center of the dining area!
