Hello extended families!
There’s nothing quite so special during as sleepover at Grandma’s house as the bedtime story part. Whether it’s to delay bedtime, or because they like the cuddling part, a bedtime story is the perfect way for your younger ones to end a busy day. But how do you make it VERY special?
… Make that bedtime story be one from your own childhood. Is there something funny you did? Or a lesson learned through experience? Maybe you just talk about the special pets you had, or the games you and your best friend played, or maybe there’s a story your own mom told you. My own littles loved to hear about the time their great-grandma fell off a horse-drawn wagon but, luckily, suffered no severe injuries. (Horses??? Wagon??? They were stunned to hear that one.)
Dig into your own memories. You might be surprised what stories you can find there!
Until next time!
